General Tour Information
On our 4 and 5-day battlefield tours we usually stay at two hotels on the Western Front and Normandy and on our 3-day tours we generally base ourselves at a single hotel.

As we have explained, each tour is planned according to the requirements of the participants. The longer tours are entitled “Western Front” and encompass various parts of the Front subject to the needs of the group.

 

On the 3-day battlefield tours we generally concentrate on the area where we are based-for example Ypres for the Salient, Peronne for the Somme and Cambrai for Arras.

 

Typically a 4 or 5-day battlefield tour will encompass the Somme and Ypres areas and can include other battlefield sites such as Mons, Armentières, Vimy, Villers-Bretonneux, Arras, Le Quesnoy, Cambrai, Le Cateau etc.

 

Our 5 day Normandy tours include the D-Day landing beaches, Gold, Sword, Juno, Utah and Omaha and other notable battle sites including, Pegasus Bridge, Falaise and Merville Battery.

 

We arrange tours throughout the year additional to those listed in the schedule to assist those who wish to travel at different times or in larger or smaller groups. It is often possible to “mix and match” to make up sufficient numbers with guests who have registered an interest but are flexible regarding travel dates. We also arrange battlefield tours to suit larger parties of 16+ for groups such as clubs, societies, military associations and units etc., and will be pleased to discuss your requirements and provide a quotation.
